Young Rosalind Russell first started performing in summer stock theater productions. She made her big screen debut in crime drama film Evelyn Prentice (1934) in role as Mrs. Nancy Harrison. She got her television debut in CBS anthology series Schlitz Playhouse of Stars (1952) in episode "Never Wave at a WAC", as Guest. Rosalind's breakthrough performance came as Sylvia Fowler in comedy drama film The Women (1939). She landed her Broadway debut in a musical "Garrick Gaieties" (1930) with an ensemble role, at Guild Theatre.
