Noomi Rapace was born in Hudiksvall, Sweden, on December 28, 1979, is a Swedish actress.

Young Noomi Rapace began her professional acting career in Icelandic movie In the Shadow of the Raven (Í skugga hrafnsins) (1988) in non-speaking role, at the age of seven.

She got her television debut in Swedish soap opera Tre kronor (1996-1997) in role as Lucinda Gonzales.

Her breakthrough performance came as Lisbeth Salander in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo film trilogy (2009).
