Michelle Williams was born in Kalispell, Montana, United States, on September 9, 1980, is an American actress.

Young Michelle Williams first started performing in amateur production of the musical "Annie".

She began her professional acting career in one episode of action drama television series Baywatch (1993) in role as Bridget, at the age of 13.

She made her big screen debut in adventure family movie Lassie (1994) in role as April Porter.

She landed her first big as Jen Lindley in teen drama television series Dawson's Creek (1998–2003).

Her breakthrough performance came as Alma Beers Del Mar in romantic drama film Brokeback Mountain (2005), for which she was nominated for the Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress.

She got her stage debut in a play "Killer Joe" (1999) in role as Dottie, at the SoHo Playhouse.

She made her Broadway debut in a musical Cabaret (2014) in role as Sally Bowles, at Studio 54.
