Kristin Dawn Chenoweth was born in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, United States, on July 24, 1968, is an American actress.

Young Kristin Chenoweth first started performing during her years at the Broken Arrow Senior High School, in school theater productions.

She made her big screen debut in film Topa Topa Bluffs (2001) in role as Patty.

She got her television debut in NBC sitcom LateLine (1999) in episode "The Christian Guy", in role as Kristin.

Kristin's breakthrough performance came as Glinda the Good Witch in a musical "Wicked" (2003) at George Gershwin Theatre, for which she was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical.

She landed her Broadway debut in a musical "Steel Pier" (1997) in role as Precious McGuire, at Richard Rodgers Theatre, for which she won a Theatre World Award for Outstanding Broadway Debut.
