Young Christina Ricci first started acting in school production of "The Twelve Days of Christmas".
She made her big screen debut in comedy drama movie Mermaids (1990) in role as Kate Flax, at the age of ten, for which she won a Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress Supporting Role.
She landed her television debut in ABC adventure drama series H.E.L.P. (1990), in episode "Are You There, Alpha Centauri?", in role as Olivia.
