Diane Lane was born in New York City, New York, U.S., on January 22, 1965, is an American actress. Young Diane Lane first started her acting career at the age of six, in a play "Medea"(1971) in role as Medea's daughter, at the La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club in New York .
She made her big screen debut in romantic comedy movie A Little Romance (1979) in role as Lauren King, at the age of 13. She got her television debut in drama film Child Bride of Short Creek (1981) in role as Jessica Rae Jacobs.
