Young Esther Williams first started her career as a competitive swimmer. She made her big screen debut in comedy film Andy Hardy's Double Life (1942) in role as Sheila Brooks. She got her television debut in CBS panel game show What's My Line (1955) as Guest Celebrity. Esther breakthrough performance came as Caroline Brooks in musical romantic comedy film Bathing Beauty (1944).
