She made her big screen debut in crime film The Shop at Sly Corner (1947) in uncredited role as Mildred. She got her television debut in comedy series How Do You View? (1951) in role as Cuddles. Diana breakthrough performance came as Dora Bracken in drama film Diamond City (1949).
