Jacoba Francisca Maria Smulders was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on April 3, 1982, is a Canadian actress and model. Young Cobie Smulders started acting during her years of high school in school theatrical productions.

She first began her professional career as a model.

She got her television debut in Showtime science fiction series Jeremiah (2002) in episode "Thieves' Honor", in role as Deborah.
