Anya Taylor-Joy was born in Miami, Florida, United States, on April 16, 1996, is an American-born Argentine-British actress.

Young Anya Taylor-Joy first started her career as a model, at the age of 16, she was scouted by Sarah Doukas from Storm Model Management, in London.

She made her big screen debut in fantasy comedy horror movie Vampire Academy (2014) in role as Feeder Girl (her scene was deleted from the final cut).

She got her television debut in British detective drama series Endeavour (2014) in episode "Nocturne", in role as Philippa Collins-Davidson.

Her breakthrough performance came as Thomasin in supernatural horror film The Witch (2015).
