Anne Jacqueline Hathaway was born in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, United States, on November 12, 1982, is an American actress.

Young Anne Hathaway first started performing during her years at the Millburn High School, in school theater productions.

She got her television debut in FOX comedy drama series Get Real (1999–2000) in role as Meghan Green.

Her breakthrough performance came as Mia Thermopolis in her big screen debut in romance comedy movie The Princess Diaries (2001). She played same character in sequel The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004).
