Young Tom Sturridge began his professional acting career as a child actor, at the age of 11.

He made his big screen debut in fantasy drama film FairyTale: A True Story (1997) in role as Hab.

He got his television debut in miniseries Gulliver's Travels (1996) in role as Tom Gulliver.

Tom's breakthrough performance came as Roger Gosselyn in comedy drama film Being Julia (2004).

He made his London stage debut in a play "Punk Rock" (2010) in role as William, at Lyric Theatre, for which he was nominated for the Evening Standard Theatre Award for Outstanding Newcomer and won the Critics' Circle Theatre Award for Most Promising Newcomer.
