Early acting career First movie Breakthrough

Taylor Daniel Lautner was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States, on February 11, 1992, is an American actor.

Young Taylor Lautner first started his career as a martial artist.

He began studying martial arts at Fabiano's Karate School, at the age of six.

He trained with seven-time world karate champion Michael Chaturantabut, for several years.

He became the three time Junior World Champion, at the age of twelve.

He began his acting career in small television and movie roles and in commercials.

He made his big screen debut in science fiction film Shadow Fury (2001) in role as Kismet.

He got his television debut in Fox sitcom The Bernie Mac Show (2003-2004) in role as Aaron.

He landed his first big break with a role as Sharkboy in action adventure film The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D (2006), for which he was nominated for the Young Artist Awards for Best Performance in a Feature Film by a Leading Actor.

Taylor's breakthrough performance came as Jacob Black in romantic fantasy film Twilight (2008), opposite Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.
