Young Steven Van Zandt formed his first band Whirlwinds in 1964.

He made his big screen debut in sport drama film American Flyers (1985) in role as Cyclist.

He got his television debut in music video Little Steven & The Disciples of Soul: Under the Gun (1982).

Stevens's breakthrough came with Bruce Springsteen's album "Born in the USA" (1984).
