Early acting career First movie Breakthrough

Samuel L. Jackson was born in Washington, D.C., United States, on December 21, 1948, is an American actor.

Young Samuel L. Jackson first started performing during his years at the Morehouse College in Atlanta, with local acting group, he co-founded "Just Us Theatre".

He began his professional acting career on the New York stage, he joined "Negro Ensemble Company".

He made his big screen debut in blaxploitation movie Together for Days (1972) in role as Stan.

He got his television debut in NBC drama series Movin' On (1976) in episode "Woman of Steel", in role as Patrolman.

He landed his first break with a role as Mister Señor Love Daddy in comedy drama film Do the Right Thing (1989), directed by Spike Lee.

Jackson's breakthrough performance came as Jules Winnfield in drama crime movie Pulp Fiction (1994), for which he won a BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and he was nominated for the Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor.
