Young Rupert Grint first started performing in school theatrical productions.

He made his big screen debut in fantasy comedy movie Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) in his breakthrough role as Ron Weasley, for which he won the Young Artist Award for Most Promising Young Newcomer.

He got his television debut in documentary special Happy Birthday Peter Pan (1998) in voice role as Peter Pan.
