Raúl Rafael Carlos Juliá Arcelay was born in Floral Park, San Juan, Puerto Rico, on March 9, 1940, was a Puerto Rican actor. Young Raul Julia first started performing in local plays and nightclubs. He made his big screen debut in drama film The Panic in Needle Park (1971) in role as Marco. He got his television debut in educational children's series Sesame Street (1971-1972) in role as Rafael, The Repairman. Raul's breakthrough performance came as Ray in musical romantic drama film One from the Heart (1982). He landed his Broadway debut in a play "The Cuban Thing" (1968) in role as Chan, at Henry Miller's Theatre.
