Young Paddy Considine first started performing with a comedy group "Grunt", at college. He made his big screen debut in teen comedy drama film A Room for Romeo Brass (1999) in role as Morell. He got his television debut in BBC and HBO drama film My Zinc Bed (2006) in role as Paul Peplow. Paddy's breakthrough performance came as Richard in psychological thriller film Dead Man's Shoes (2004). He landed his directorial and screenwriting feature length debut with drama film Tyrannosaur (2011), for which he won the British Academy Film Award for Outstanding debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer. He made his Broadway debut in a play "The Ferryman" (2018) in role as Quinn Carney, at Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, for which he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play.
