Nick Offerman was born in Joliet, Illinois, United States, on June 26, 1970, is an American actor. Young Nick Offerman began his professional acting career on stage, in Chicago in mid-1990s. He co-founded theatre company Defiant Theatre in Chicago (1993). He got his television debut in NBC medical drama series ER (1983) in episode: "Ambush", in role as Rog. He made his big screen debut in drama movie Going All the Way (1997) in role as Wilks. Nick's breakthrough performance came as Ron Swanson in NBC political satire sitcom Parks and Recreation (2009–2015, 2020).
