Mark Robert Michael Wahlberg was born in Dorchester, Boston, Massachusetts, United States, on June 5, 1971, is an American actor.

Young Mark Wahlberg first started his career as a original member of the boy band "New Kids on the Block", at the age of 13.

He landed his first big break as a frontman of the band "Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch", they released debut album, "Music for the People" in 1991.

Featured in a series of underwear ads for Calvin Klein in the early 1990s.

He got his acting television debut in psychological thriller movie The Substitute (1993) in role as Ryan Westerberg.

He made his big screen debut in comedy drama film Renaissance Man (1994) in role as Private Tommy Lee Haywood.

Mark's breakthrough performance came as Eddie Adams (Dirk Diggler) in drama film Boogie Nights (1997).
