Gerald Isaac Stiller was born in Brooklyn, New York, United States, on June 8, 1927, was an American actor. Young Jerry Stiller first started performing in school theater productions. He made his big screen debut in romantic comedy film Lovers and Other Strangers (1970) in uncredited role as Jim. He got his television debut in CBS anthology drama series Studio One in Hollywood (1956-1957) in role as Sergeant Joe Capriotti / Hugh. Jerry's breakthrough performance came as part of comedy duo "Stiller and Meara". He landed his Broadway debut in a musical "The Golden Apple" (1954) in role as Mayor Juniper, at Alvin Theatre.
