Jack Black was born in Santa Monica, California, United States, on August 28, 1969, is an American actor, comedian and musician.

Young Jack Black started his career in commercial for the Activision video game Pitfall! (1982), at the age of 13.

He began acting during his years at the UCLA, as a member of Tim Robbins's acting troupe "Actors' Gang".

He made his big screen debut in satirical mockumentary film Bob Roberts (1992) in role as Roger Davis.

He got his television debut in family drama movie Our Shining Moment (1991) in role as Teenage boy.

Jack's breakthrough performance came as Barry Judd in romantic comedy drama movie High Fidelity (2000) opposite John Cusack.
