William Scott "Jack" Elam was born in Miami, Arizona, United States, on November 13, 1920, was an American actor. Young Jack Elam began his professional acting career in 1947. He made his big screen debut in Western film Mystery Range (1947) in role as Burvel Lambert. He got his television debut in NBC Western series The Restless Gun (1957) in episode "Trail to Sunset", in role as Link Jared. Jack's breakthrough performance came as Tevis in Western film Rawhide (1951).
