Gérard Xavier Marcel Depardieu was born in Châteauroux, France, on December 27, 1948, is an French actor.

Young Gerard Depardieu began his acting career on stage, at the age of sixteen in Paris, with traveling theatre "Cafe de la Gare".

He made his screen debut in short film Le beatnik et le minet (1967) in role as The Beatnik.

He got his television debut in drama film Tango (1970) in role as Edek.
