Young Ed O'Neill first started performing at American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He made his big screen debut in thriller film Cruising (1980) in role as Detective Schreiber. He got his television debut in NBC soap opera Another World (1981) in episode "Hostages at the Cabin", in role as Lenny. Ed's breakthrough performance came as Al Bundy in Fox sitcom Married... with Children (1987-1997). He landed his Broadway debut in a play "Knockout" (1979) in role as Paddy Klonski, at Helen Hayes Theatre.
