David Duchovny was born in New York City, New York, United States, on August 7, 1960, is an American actor.

Young David Duchovny began his acting career in off-Broadway plays and in commercials, in the late 1980s.

He made his big screen debut in romantic comedy drama film Working Girl (1988) in role as Tess's Birthday Party Friend.

He got his television debut in ABC mystery horror drama series Twin Peaks (1990–1991) in role as DEA Agent Denise Bryson.

David's breakthrough performance came as FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder in science fiction series The X-Files (1993–2018).
