He got his television debut in CBS sitcom The New Leave It to Beaver (1986) in episode ""Does Not a Woman Make", in role as Jason. Brian's breakthrough performance came as David Silver in teen drama television series Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990–2000). He landed his directorial debut with comedy drama romance movie Fish Without a Bicycle (2003), for which he won the the Palm Beach International Film Festival Special Jury Prize for a feature film directorial debut.
