He made his big screen debut in science fiction comedy film What Planet Are You From? (2000) in role as Alien. He got his television debut in NBC action drama series The Pretender (2000) in episode "The Agent of Year Zero", in role as Male Agent. Brian's breakthrough performance came as Takashi "D.K." in action film The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006).
