Benjamin Joseph Manaly Novak was born in Newton, Massachusetts, United States, on July 31, 1979, is an American actor. Young B. J. Novak first started performing at "Comedy for a Cure" at Loyola Marymount University (2009). He made his big screen debut in comedy film Unaccompanied Minors (2006) in role as Flight Attendant. He got his television debut in MTV hidden camera practical joke reality series Punk'd (2003) in role as Field Agent. Novak's breakthrough performance came as Ryan Howard in NBC sitcom The Office (2005–2013). He landed his directorial debut with black comedy film Vengeance (2022), also he wrote and starred as Ben Manalowitz, for which he won the Leiden International Film Festival American Indie Competition Award for Best Film.
